Terms of Service — JobShot
Effective date: July 25, 2026
Updated July 25, 2026 — added App Store terms and consumer-law provisions for users outside Korea.
1. What JobShot Is
JobShot is a tool for field-service professionals to record before/after photos and notes of their work and automatically generate a customer-facing completion report to share.
AI-generated report text is assistive output for your convenience. You are responsible for reviewing and editing the report before sending it to your customer.
By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
2. Accounts
- You sign in with an Apple or Google account. An account is intended for use by one business operator.
- You are responsible for the security of your account and devices. Automated bulk requests or any activity that disrupts normal operation is prohibited.
- If you violate these Terms, the Company may suspend or restrict your access after notice (or with notice after the fact in urgent cases).
- You can delete your account at any time in the app under [Settings > Delete Account]; all data is deleted.
3. Subscription and Payment
- You can generate 10 reports free of charge. Continued use requires a monthly auto-renewing subscription.
- Payment, cancellation, and refunds are handled through the Apple App Store. You can cancel anytime up to 24 hours before the end of the current period in [App Store Settings > Subscriptions]; you keep access through the end of the paid period. Refunds follow Apple’s refund policy.
- Subscriptions are subject to fair-use limits premised on normal business use (per-job regeneration counts and monthly generation totals). The Company may restrict use in cases of abuse, such as automated generation, resale of accounts or output, or bulk generation beyond normal business use.
- Pricing and limits may change with prior notice. Price increases affecting existing subscribers follow Apple’s subscription price-change process (including consent requests where applicable).
4. Your Content and Your Customers’ Information
- You own, and are responsible for, the job information, photos, and reports you enter or upload.
- You are responsible for having a lawful basis — such as your customer’s consent — to enter, photograph, and share your customer’s information (name, contact details) and images of their property. JobShot is a tool for your business; you are the data controller of the customer information you enter.
- Text information is sent to a generative AI service to produce report sentences. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- Posting or sharing content that infringes the rights of others or violates the law is prohibited; the Company may remove such content or restrict use.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important reports and photos. The Company is not liable for data loss due to link expiration, account deletion, device loss, or similar causes, absent willful misconduct or gross negligence.
5. Report Share Links
- Reports are shared via randomized links. Anyone who has the link can view the report — managing who you share it with is your responsibility.
- Links expire after the period you set (90 days by default). Regenerating a report updates its content at the same link.
6. Changes to or Termination of the Service
The Company may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for business or technical reasons. We will give reasonable prior notice in the app or on plien.io. Absent willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for damages arising from termination of the Service. If the Service ends during a paid subscription period, treatment of the remaining period follows Apple’s policies and applicable law.
7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The Company does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated text; you are responsible for the final report content delivered to your customer.
- The Company is not liable for damages caused by failures of external services (Apple, Google, cloud infrastructure, AI providers, telecommunications networks, etc.).
- The Company is not a party to, and bears no responsibility for, disputes between you and your customers (work quality, payment, etc.).
- The Company is not liable for damages arising after you navigate to external links provided in the Service.
- Absent willful misconduct or gross negligence, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company’s total liability is limited to the fees you paid to the Company in the three months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that applicable law says cannot be excluded — including the Australian Consumer Law, the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Canadian provincial consumer protection legislation, and U.S. federal and state consumer laws. Where such a law applies and a limitation above is not permitted, that limitation does not apply to you, and our liability is limited to the minimum extent that law allows.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights to the app, its design, logos, and code belong to the Company. You may not copy, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit the Service without the Company’s prior written consent. (Your own content and reports remain yours.)
9. Changes to These Terms
The Company may amend these Terms with notice in the app or on plien.io at least 7 days before the effective date (30 days for changes unfavorable to users). If you do not agree, you may stop using the app; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are subject to the courts determined under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
If you are a consumer resident outside Korea, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may be able to bring proceedings in the courts of that country where local law gives you that right.
11. Privacy
The handling of your personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.
12. Apple App Store Terms
The following applies because you obtained JobShot from the Apple App Store. In this section, “Apple” means Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries.
If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s Media Services Terms also apply alongside these Terms.
- Acknowledgement — These Terms are between you and the Company only, not Apple. The Company, not Apple, is solely responsible for JobShot and its content.
- Scope of licence — You are granted a non-transferable licence to use JobShot on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules set out in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that JobShot may be accessed and used by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
- Maintenance and support — The Company is solely responsible for maintenance and support of JobShot. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide any maintenance or support services.
- Warranty — The Company is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If JobShot fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to JobShot.
- Product claims — The Company, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to JobShot or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that JobShot fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property claims — If a third party claims that JobShot or your possession and use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights, the Company, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance — You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated by the U.S. Government as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms — You agree to comply with applicable third-party terms when using JobShot (for example, the terms of your wireless data service).
- Third-party beneficiary — Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right (and are deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
- Contact — Questions, complaints, or claims about JobShot should be sent to contact@plien.io.
